Introduction of our International Representative for International, Paul Bohelski.
· Mr. Bohelski states the goal of this negotiating team is to get the best possible contract in record time.

Ken discussed the positive outlook on negotiations, and explained how different this negotiation has been from the last contract renegotiation.

Kent thanks the membership for their input and detailed the way in which the information was used in putting together the First Proposal.

Ken stresses the importance of keeping a positive outlook, but at the same time realizes that things can turn ugly in a hurry.

Ken would like to squelch the rumor of:
· work-over pay is not going to 1.75. He reiterates that when and if this is proposed by the company, it needs to be reviewed and approved by the Executive Board.
· failing an S-92 ride does not constitute revocation of your Certificate.

Ken explains that the 50 aircraft that may be removed from the fleet, should not result in anyone losing there job. This should be done through the natural retirement of older aircraft, and reminds everyone that the plan is to replace these aircraft with medium to large aircraft.

Ken states that the two Negotiating Teams have tentatively agreed to raise the equipment allowance to $400

Paul Bohelski gives an update on the PHI situation
· Steve Reagan has been reinstated to duty and will attend West Palm Beach training for the S-92
· There are 2 cases set for arbitration for miscellaneous accusations towards the pilots
· There are 3 other cases with very little details given
· 18% of PHI’s Pilots are paying Union Dues

Mike Tracy asks why the S-92 bonus of $300 does not carry over to the 214ST: Ken states that this in the works, and everyone needing a type ride should be taken care of.

Kayo Randolph asks why the General Membership does not receive the Executive Board Minutes: Ken responds with his opinion that there are certain things that are discussed in the E-Board Meetings should and need to remain confidential.

Matt Rooney asks the question of what can we do, as a membership, to help make this the best contract that we can get: Ken responds with Solidarity… Solidarity is the key to this entire negotiation.

Kayo Randolph asks if there is any truth to the Local 108 (PHI) going bankrupt: Paul Bohelski responds stating that Local 108 has not missed any payments.
